Yet another fabulous week for Meadows !
There have been some amazing creations in Meadows this week like the bug hotel for the minibeast cave although some children called it a chicken coop and some chickens have already checked in the hotel ☺️. Meadows had the opportunity to use their imagination to create using different materials.
Meadows have been developing their map skills to describe which way their ladybird went, some applied directional arrows and key language such as straight ahead, through the gate, past, around, into, left and right! We made some wonderful observational drawings of unusual insects by looking very carefully at the various parts, shapes and patterns and some of us challenged ourselves further by creating a label for it.
We had an incredible experience with the mobile petting farm , children loved every minute of it, and we are so proud of them. Meadows showed great interest and asked fabulous questions about the animals ‘habitat, we all wanted to take Button(the lovely poodle) home 🙂.
Next week:
Focus book: Rosie’s walk
Adult Focus: PSED-Self-Regulation: –Playing the Kim’s game with farmyard animals to support memory skills, turn-taking, speaking and listening. (number/one more, one less)

EAD: Being Imaginative and Expressive. I can join in with some farm animal action songs and rhymes. Extend by– make up my own version/rhyme

UW: I can name the things that we get from animals e.g. eggs, milk, wool.
