What a fabulous start to our first Summer term!!
Meadows had a wonderful time sharing all the adventures they had during the Easter holidays.
We have been on the move this week, playing imaginary journeys on a transport of our choice.

Children enjoyed stories such as Martha maps it out and Mr Gumpy’s motor car.We talked about how they can work together to solve problems and be kind and helpful around the classroom like Mr Gumpy’s friends.

Meadows have been learning how to map the journey from home to school, describing their journeys with impressive vocabulary.

We also learnt about Ramadan and Eid celebrations and children loved it.

Wishing you all a very happy Eid

Next week

Focus book: You can’t take an Elephant on the bus by Patricia Cleveland-Peck.

Adult focus: Where are we going? How can we get there? Encouraging children to use directional language.

PSE:  Is it safe to cross the road without an adult? Encouraging children to talk about their experiences and their favorite ways to travel to school, such as walking or riding a bike or scooter .

PD: Inviting  children to perform actions miming getting in/on or travelling by different types of transport. For example, driving a car, riding a bike, rowing a boat or riding a horse. They can explore moving in different ways and at different speeds.

Math: Exploring the one more/one less relationship between consecutive numbers.

Have a wonderful and restful weekend!
