What a busy week it has been with some fantastic adventures in Meadows! Children have enjoyed finding out about the Princess and the Peas story followed by some interesting discussion about Lily-Rose’s choices and questions such as: Is it right to judge by first impressions?

Meadows have been sorting through different types of beans (black beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils, cannellini beans) using their fingers and scoopers to exercise those hand muscles. There has been a lot of mark making activity as children have now written and decorated the labels for their planted beans.

The contest for the tallest beanstalk is still on between the groups with the Buttercups leading the way. It has given us an opportunity to compare the lengths and asks the questions such as: Which one is longer? Which one is shorter? Are any the same?

Focus book next week: The Three Billy Goats Gruff

Have a lovely weekend!
