What a busy week we have had at Nursery.

Our story of the week was Counting on Community by Innosanto Nagara, which is a lovely book about all the things around us and make us feel belong.

Here is a video of the book, you might want to look at it together with your child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPsnYmvPYKw

Can you count some things around your house together? Can you count the plates you need for dinner, or the toothbrushes in the bathroom? Can you count the dogs in the park or the friends you play with?

A very busy and exciting period is coming with celebrating Christmas. We have decorated our Christmas trees, the children made some Christmas cards, wrapped some boxes to put under the tree.

We are also practicing our Christmas songs for our Singalong on Family Friday, have a look at the lyrics we sent home this week. Looking forward to welcoming you for the short session!

Next week the children will be having their Christmas party on Wednesday, please sign up on the door for contributing to their party snacks and drop those on Wednesday as their session starts. We have a strict NO NUT policy, and please no kiwis either.

We will be reading a selection of winter and Christmas stories next week, looking at the traditional Nativity characters, and preparing some decorations in Santa’s workshop.
