There has been a lot of wriggly, wiggly creativity in Meadows, but certainly not slow!

Meadows have enjoyed listening to the story ‘Superworm’ and were able to choose their favourite character and explain their choice. They thoroughly enjoyed becoming ‘Superworm’ themselves and sharing what their super power is.

They made some earthy playdough using a variety of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. There was a lot of fine motor skills activity as the children threaded beads and pasta onto strings, pipe cleaners and sticks to make some wriggly worms and painted beautiful dragonflies.

Meadows continued to look after the ants and worms in our newly built ant hotel and wormery making sure there is enough moisture and food for them. They were fascinated by the caterpillars which have grown bigger each day and started to weave their cocoons!

NOTICES:

On Thursday, 23 March we will have a visit in Nursery from a mobile petting farm . The children will get a chance to cuddle, pet and feed the rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and maybe even some chickens! We would like to invite the children who don’t usually come to Nursery on Thursdays to come and join us in the farm corner in the Early Years playground at 2 pm.
