Oh, haven’t we been busy this week!

We had a special visit from the dentist who told us about the importance of looking after our teeth. We talked about the different types of teeth we have (biting incisors, pointed canines and chewing molars) and how many times a day we need to brush them. We also discussed healthy and unhealthy foods.

In our role-play area we created the airport! The children have enjoyed getting on the plane and going on travels to different places around the world. We practiced vocabulary related to air travel like aeroplane, ticket, take off, arrival, departure, suitcase etc.

In maths we have been practising 1-5 number sorting and number recognition while matching ladybirds and their spots.

Meadows enjoyed the story sack and the book about The selfish crocodile.  This gave us the opportunity to talk about kindness and practice vocabulary related to animals.

Focus book next week: The Suitcase by Chris Naylor

Donations

As we are starting to get into the festive season, we would be very grateful for any donations of Christmas decorations like tinsel, baubles and Christmas cards etc. We are hoping to create a Santa’s workshop where children can get into the festive spirit!

Wishing you all a restful weekend!
