What a lovely end to a very busy spring term! This week our classroom smelled of cocoa and tasted of honey as children made some chocolatey playdough and tried some honey straight from the honeycomb. Meadows were fascinated by the way the bees produce honey and they explored the geometrical shapes that can be observed in the natural world.

The children were intrigued by the nature starting to come to life as they spotted some daffodils which we had planted back in the autumn in the flower trays. They were very excited to see our 5 caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies and learnt how to look after them by feeding them water and some tasty fruit.

With Easter holidays approaching, there was a lot of activity around eggs and chickens, as well as lots of dancing and new songs related to the topic. We also welcomed parents from FOCUS who read children a lovely story and joined in our Easter bonnet parade followed by a well-deserved chocolate egg!

It was fantastic to see so many parents come and join us on Family Friday – thank you for your positive feedback and continuous support!
