This week in Meadows we have been enjoying the festivities – an excuse to play party games and dance even more than usual! On Wednesday we had our Christmas party where we played some party games including ‘Pin the Nose on Rudolf’, ‘Tinsel Limbo’ and ‘Musical Statues’. Thanks again to all who contributed to the food and drink, the children enjoyed having a very special snack time together.

We have enjoyed listening to some festive stories including Stick Man by Julia Donaldson, and Jesus’ Christmas Party by Nicholas Allan. In our playful learning, the children have loved exploring the outside area, including jumping in puddles and playing with foam! Inside, we have all had the opportunity to make gingerbread men, explore the nativity scene and make cookie cutter decorations in the playdough area. Meadows have loved making Christmas cards for their grown-ups, we hope you love them too!

All week we were rehearsing our special Christmas songs for our Family Friday performance. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. What a wonderful way to start the festive period!

Next week we will continue to get in the festive spirit by voting for the Christmas story we want to hear, going on wintery walks around the school and enjoying our last moments together before the break.

A reminder that school will be closing at 13:30pm on Wednesday 20th December for the Christmas holidays. If your child comes to Nursery Weds-Fri or on afternoons, they do not need to attend on Wednesday.

Have a lovely weekend, festive period and December break!
