From our budding reporters:
During this week at school we have been participating in an arts week. That consisted of drama, song writing and poetry. So we interviewed some people to see what they thought about arts week and this is what they said.
“What have you enjoyed about arts week?”
“I have enjoyed everything so far this week”
“Okay next question, what have you learned this week?”
“I have learnt about all the different commands used on stage to correct the actors.”
“Amazing! Last question, what would you change about arts week?”
“I would change it so we could have more time in drama and song writing”.
During this week, we didn’t just learn about the basics of drama, poetry and song writing. We learnt that art can be interpreted in so many different ways, and in so many different styles and how it takes practice and time to create the perfect performance.
To finish off Thursday the whole school created tags with a line of a poem they created and tied it to the world map gate, which created a spectacular piece of work for all the parents/ guardians to see.
What was your favourite thing about arts week? “I enjoyed the creativity a lot.“
What was your least favourite thing about arts week? “We did the same routine every day.“
What have you learnt from arts week? “I learnt a lot related to teamwork!”
What would you change? “How many things we do and when we do them!”
For this fascinating week we have been doing singing, drama and poems. In singing we have been exploring the details to song writing and how to make them. In drama we have been working together to create multiple tableaux in a team. In poems we have been writing poems about a made up word we made on Wednesday.
Thank you reporters. Sounds like you had a great week.
We have had a visiting team recording our week on film. This will be published to families soon – so watch this space!
Back on timetable, back to Pax, multiplication and science.
