In English we have been recounting our experience last week in relation to the mythical Eddington Beast. We explored past tense verbs and how they can be regular or irregular. We also acted out our recounts to the class, these included becoming the roles of Dr Biddulph and the mysterious beast.

In maths we have been continuing fractions, exploring how we order fractions with different denominators, understanding that the smaller the denominator the larger the parts. Please find this weeks maths sheets here: Maths lesson sheets

In topic we continued to look at shadow puppetry, we explored what Wayang Kulit is (it means puppet show) and where it originates from. We also spoke about why it may not be as popular now as it was previously.

Next Week:

In maths, we will be continuing learning and reasoning about fractions with a focus on adding fractions with the same denominator and putting fractions onto a number line.

In English, we will be focusing on the myth of Perseus and Medusa, looking at the key aspects of the story and starting to create our own mythical creature.

In guided reading, we will continue reading ‘Stig of the Dump’ by Clive King.

Please continue to collect any boxes for our D&T project this half term. The ideal size would be a medium-size Amazon cardboard box. Thank you in advance for your support in this.
